Fifth Grade—Claire Gilbert—Srta. Claire

A native Kentuckian, Claire Gilbert recently moved to Forest Lake to join the LILA team.  She has also lived in Madrid, Spain as a Fulbright English teaching assistant; Washington, D.C. as an intern for the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage; Oaxaca, Mexico as a student of Latin American civilization; and Chicago, IL, where she earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Chicago.  In addition to being an educator, she is a poet and documentary filmmaker.
