The Lakes International School Board of Directors is charged with managing and maintaining the integrity of this unique charter school. It employs a unique membership which governs the school's policies and actions. School board members are elected to two-year terms, except for the community member who is elected to a one-year term.
Terms are staggered to ensure continuity of leadership. School constituents elect four board members in even-year elections and five board members in odd-year elections. The School Director and School Finance Manager are ex officio members of the board without voting rights.
